Morning run

7:00 AM- Met Donna for a 3 mile run. Hard to believe that I'm able to get up early to run/bike again.  I thought those days were over.  Thank you, Lord.  Don't ever let me take for granted the ability to move. It's a precious thing that most of us don't even think about until we are faced with the fact that our body is slowly losing its functions.

Tonight I went to NIA.  It's such a good mind/body workout.  I highly recommend it, particularly for those of us on the "older" side.   I've been trying to get ladies to come, but haven't been able to convince anyone thus far.  Thank you, Laura, for making the trip to Tunkannock every week to teach us.

Here are some images that maybe will entice those who are thinking of joining the class.

I'm reviving an old blog.  I've decided to turn it into a workout log blog.

Today I did a track workout.  I've been trying to do this once a week since I've been thinking about doing more 5Ks.  I know this is pathetic if you are a runner, but I finally broke  2:30 for 1/4 mile.    I don't know if I will ever get back to 1:45s (probably not),  but as I keep saying-I'm
happy to be moving.  I did 3 miles of walk/jog repeats.

Wellsboro

Last Friday Hubby and I drove out to Wellsboro to ride our bikes along the Pine Creek Gorge.  This is a very scenic place and I highly recommend it for hiking, biking or walking.  Even if you don't like to do any of those things, just driving out there for dinner and to walk around the town would be a nice day out.

We rode 28 miles!!!  This is a world record for me since I don't know when.  The last several miles were quite difficult though.

Took last Sat. off.
Walked to church with friend, Joyce on Sun.

Yoga

I try to go to yoga at least once a week.  It is another very good exercise for the neurologically impaired.  Last Thur.  I attended a class at Donna's house.  It was a hard workout, but I needed the stretching.

Biking

I've been biking with Donna once a week this summer.  I'm so glad that I still have enough balance to ride a bike!  Last Wed. we went to the end of North Eaton Road.  About 8 miles round trip.

NIA

I discovered a wonderful exercise program called NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) thanks to my yoga teacher and running, walking, biking friend, Donna.  It is part dance, part marshal arts and part yoga.  It's held on Tuesdays at the Dietrich Theater.  I love it!  It is just what a neurologically challenged person needs.  I've made some new friends there, too.

So I went to NIA last Tuesday.  I was a little tired from the race the day before, but it felt good.  I am ecstatic that I can even do it!
